The truth is that the world is going to become more worse, you can't stop it or make it better, you can just make yourself and the people around you (like your family) better, but not the entire world. We should always aim for the possible things. Overconfidence and optimism can lead to temptation and the imagination of victories which are certainly impossible to get.
