We expect too much from humans even while knowing that no human can ever be perfect, and sometimes we hate ourselves just because we couldn't deliver certain outputs according to our expectations, we forget that we are included in the list of imperfect humans, we shouldn't expect much from ourselves too.

We all come as one set
We all come as one package. Our skills, personality, health, fate, religion, mind capacity, appearance etc are the elements/units of this set/package. So when someone likes you then they will have to accept the whole package and not just few units of it. No package is perfect, there are good as well as bad elements included in it. It often happens that people start admiring your qualities because of your good characteristics, but soon they get to know one of your flaws and they reject/forget you on that basis. We all have flaws, none of us is perfect. You can't select few elements of every package and join them together, so it's better to compromise on different levels as possible. Your own package is not perfect too.
Human nature
We should accept our nature as a human and do our best to live with it. It is our nature to get attracted towards beauty and repel from ugliness, it's racism, Islam doesn't allow it, but it is our nature, we always have to act against it in order to obey Islam. It is our nature to be mean and not think of anyone else except ourselves, many of us can overcome this nature and be generous. It is our nature to worry about something and not forget it, it's not always easy to control that feeling. We have to live with ourselves, we don't have another option, but we have to obey Islam all the time, even if it's against our own nature, and maybe that's the real test from Allah, that we are asked to act against our own nature.
We are attracted towards the opposite gender, it is our nature, but Islam doesn't allow us to be with a na-mehram, means we are asked to act against our nature. There are many things, as from liking someone to have feelings about them, which are a part of our human nature but are forbidden by Islam for us. We have to fight with our own-self in order to please Allah. So many of us who think they have gotten a dirty mind; you don't have it, we all have it, you can change it, you can control yourself, we can't be perfect but we can keep trying, let it not go out of control and balance. There are many things I do as a person which aren't appropriate at all, I consider them bad, but sometimes I'm not able to control my nature from acting. So don't feel bad if you get such feelings, it's a test, just don't stop fighting, Allah knows everything, He knows your struggle. Salam and Peace
