Like I said many times, falling in love is good unless you want to fall into a haram relationship, just get married or totally forget about love. If one can't marry then one should wait, pray, keep faith and do halal struggles of bonding. I believe one should never cross the limits created by Islam. Allah above everything! Having feelings for someone other than your spouse, or someone who's already married, is wrong. If you have feelings for anyone who you can't marry then tell yourself that it's just Iblees trying to make you sin, make yourself lose such emotions at any cost!
Love is the name of commitment, loyalty, trust, faith and care. So commitment is very essential and marriage is the name of commitment in Islam. Love someone who loves Allah more than you, only then you can trust him/her. Maybe the person you chose isn't of your type, there can be many exceptions. Allah knows everything and you do not know. Seek His wisdom, blessings and guidance.
Pray often, pray to Allah for helping you make the right decision. He knows who's better for you, don't choose someone for you, let Allah choose. A person should never compromise religion over anyone, no matter how charming they're. If I were you then I'd just pray to Allah that if she's better for me then bring her close to me, and if she isn't then keep her away from me. For Allah anything is possible. If you don't get him/her then don't become thankless, thank Him for His decision, for He may grant you a more better person for your patience. Salam & Peace 🌼
