#JusticeForZainab

The pictures of a young girl have been making rounds on social media since yesterday. Zainab, is described to be 7 years of age, hailing from Kasur. She was raped and brutally murdered while her parents were away for Umrah purpose.

The sexual predator, after committing the crimes, dumped her body in an area full of garbage. Out in the open as if it was a daily occurrence to give it two thoughts. Images have also surfaced of what is alleged to be the culprit taking the child away.

A frenzy has been created on mainstream and social media alike. This brutal treatment of a human life has shocked everyone beyond belief. The hashtag #JusticeForZainab has been a top trend in Pakistan, on Twitter, ever since this news came to light. People are taking to every media platform possible to demand justice for this little girl.

Investigative journalist, Iqrar Ul Hassan, said he’s on his way to Kasur to find out more about the incident.
This is a highly shameful incident and a proof how unsafe children are in this society. Let us push our policy makers to fight and debate about getting actual issues solved instead of indulging in judicial wars. Let us hold them accountable for not making the streets safe, for letting education and health sector deteriorate, and for allowing the brutal abuse of the children of our nation because they protect these goons.
One of the harshest realities of our society is the inaction of the authorities. The reason why such an incident casually took place in Kasur proves that these predators are still out there. They fear no one. Had these activities been put a stop to, this would not have happened. It is about time that comes to an end. The lack of precedence set in the case allows them to threaten families seeking justice. All of these people must be answerable to the rule of law and to the people of Pakistan.
Such kinda incidents are increasingly occurring day by day, not just children, but teens and adults as well are becoming a victim of this. Rape and sexual harassment have always been a tormenting side effect of sexism by media propaganda. The world should stand against every kind of injustice with unity, it's the only way to survive against the cruelty of this world. (Source: Amastran NET)
