Allah Almighty said this in Surah Al-Maida that if he would wish then he would make all of us as One and a Believer, but he wanted to test us by the things we're blessed with (givings). So those who turned to Allah will be in peace and those who didn't and offended the orders of Allah will be able to enjoy for some time and then will face the anger of Allah Almighty in this world and hereafter. Remember that if you started forgetting the reason of your Life and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) then Allah will send another Nation who will be dominant on the Disbelievers (and those who did ignore the teachings of Islam) and strict about the Commandments of God!
